Opinion: How long-lasting royal tradition could destroy Prince Louis’ life

The Royal Family follows centuries-old traditions, some of which have evolved. For royal children, traditions begin at birth—Prince William and Kate Middleton introduced Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis to the world from the hospital and continue sharing their photos online.

While William and Kate aim to raise their children normally, is it right to expose them to millions without consent? Social media brings fans closer to the royals, but should their kids be part of this? Prince Louis, only five, has no say in his public exposure.

Royal children aren’t working royals until adulthood, so sharing their images could be seen as exploitation. Critics argue they should be allowed a private childhood, free from social media risks like harassment.

As the monarchy modernizes, William and Kate should prioritize their children’s privacy. Let them decide when they’re older whether they want a public life.
