The Grenadines Police Force shared details of the tragic event in a press release posted on Facebook. According to the statement, the plane had departed from J.F. Mitchell Airport in Paget Farm at approximately 12:11 p.m. on its way to St. Lucia. After lifting off, the aircraft encountered difficulties, resulting in a disastrous plunge into the water. Fishermen and divers from the surrounding area immediately responded, attempting to assist, while the SVG Coast Guard quickly arrived on the scene to take charge of the rescue operations.
