Beloved Chilean country singer Ivana Pino Arellano, affectionately known as “La Rancherita de Chanco,” has died in a devastating car crash—just one day after celebrating her 32nd birthday.
The accident occurred on the M-80 road near Pelluhe, Chile. Wet road conditions caused the vehicle to flip, leaving Ivana dead at the scene and her passenger seriously injured. Heart-wrenching images from the crash show the mangled car resting on its side, partially covered by an orange tarp.
Ivana, a rising star and devoted mother of four, was admired for fusing traditional Latin American music with contemporary sounds. Her voice and charisma captured the hearts of fans across the country.
The Municipality of Chanco, confirming her passing, shared:
“Ivana personified the spirit of public service with passion and love. Your departure leaves a void impossible to fill, but your legacy will endure through time.”
Her funeral, held on June 17 at Curanipe Parish Cemetery, brought together loved ones, friends, and fans in mourning. In a final tribute, the Municipality added:
“Thank you, Ivana, for giving us days full of light and peace.”
