Over the years, NCIS has brought fans countless memorable characters and unforgettable performances. Sadly, some of the actors who contributed to the show’s success are no longer with us. Their talent, dedication, and the joy they brought to the screen will never be forgotten.

1. David McCallum (Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard)
Known for his role as the quirky medical examiner, McCallum passed away at age 90 in September 2023. His long career in TV and film made him a beloved figure to NCIS fans.

2. Gregory Itzin (President Charles Logan)
Famous for playing the president in 24, Itzin also had a memorable role in NCIS. He passed away in July 2022 at age 74 following an emergency surgery.

3. Miguel Ferrer (Owen Granger)
Ferrer played the Assistant Director on NCIS: Los Angeles. He died in January 2017 at age 61 after battling throat cancer.

4. Ralph Waite (Jackson Gibbs)
Waite, known for playing Gibbs’ father, had a long career in TV and film. He passed away in February 2014 at age 85.

5. Annie Wersching (Renée Walker)
Known for her role as special agent Renée Walker in 24 and early appearances on NCIS, she died in January 2023 at age 45 after a battle with cancer.

6. Heath Freeman (Benjamin Frank)
Freeman appeared as Benjamin Frank on NCIS. He passed away in November 2021 at age 41.

7. Ravil Isyanov (Anatoli Kirkin)
The Russian actor played mobster Anatoli Kirkin on NCIS: Los Angeles. He died in September 2021 at age 59 after a battle with cancer.

8. Vachik Mangassarian (Shirin)
Appeared as Shirin in several episodes of NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles. He passed away in January 2022 at age 78 due to COVID-19 complications.

9. René Auberjonois (Odo)
Best known as Odo in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, he also had a memorable role on NCIS. He passed away in December 2019 at age 79.

10. Sam Sarpong (Special Agent)
Known for his role as a special agent on NCIS, he passed away in October 2015 at age 40.

11. Chaney Kley (Special Agent)
Kley, also appearing as a special agent, passed away in August 2017 at age 42.

12. Terrence O’Hara (Director & Actor)
O’Hara, known for his work as a director and actor on NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles, passed away in December 2022 at age 76 after battling cancer.
