Solder Boys’ Steamy Grandma Kiss: Butcher’s On-Set Prank Leave Jensen Ackles Red-Faced!

Jensen Ackles, the charming rogue we all know and love, has a history of being the target of on-set pranks. But this latest stunt, involving a steamy make-out session with an elderly woman, might just take the cake.

Ackles, who joined the cast of The Boys as the time-displaced supe Soldier Boy, recently spilled the tea about a particularly memorable (and embarrassing) scene that never made it into the final cut. During a convention appearance, Ackles revealed that he had filmed a scene involving a passionate kiss with an older actress, only to discover that his co-star, Karl Urban (who plays the gruff and unpredictable Butcher), was in on a hilarious prank.

Just Like Old Times”: A Callback to Supernatural Shenanigans
Fans of Ackles’ earlier work on Supernatural will recall a similar prank played on him by his longtime co-star, Jared Padalecki. During the filming of the iconic “Eye of the Tiger” scene, Padalecki was supposed to interrupt Ackles’ enthusiastic lip-syncing performance.

However, Padalecki, ever the mischievous prankster, decided to let Ackles carry on, much to Ackles’ eventual embarrassment.

It’s like they never left the Supernatural set,” one fan joked on Twitter. “These guys just love to mess with Jensen.”

Butcher’s Hilarious Betrayal: Letting the Kiss Play Out
In the The Boys scene, Urban’s character, Butcher, was supposed to burst in and interrupt Ackles’ passionate embrace with the elderly woman. But Urban, seizing the opportunity for a little on-set fun, decided to let the scene play out, much to Ackles’ surprise.

Karl just stood there, watching me make out with this poor woman, for what felt like an eternity,” Ackles laughed, recounting the story to a crowd of convention-goers. “I could feel him trying not to laugh behind the camera.”

The Ultimate Insult? The Scene Gets Cut
Adding insult to injury, the scene in question was ultimately left on the cutting room floor, depriving fans of what could have been a truly bizarre and hilarious moment.

“I’m so bummed they cut the scene,” one fan lamented on Reddit. “I would have paid good money to see Jensen make out with a grandma.

A Bromance Forged in Laughter: Ackles Takes It All in Stride
Despite the embarrassment, Ackles clearly took the prank in good humor, a testament to the strong bond he shares with his The Boys co-stars. It seems the camaraderie and playful banter that made Supernatural such a beloved show has carried over to Kripke’s latest project.

As fans eagerly await the new season of The Boys, one thing is certain: with a cast this playful and a showrunner known for pushing boundaries, we can expect plenty more shocking, hilarious, and downright unforgettable moments.
