Val Kilmer, star of Top Gun, Batman Forever, Tombstone, and The Doors, has passed away at 65. Known for his distinctive voice and intense performances, Kilmer’s career was cut short after a battle with throat cancer left him unable to speak.

Despite losing his voice, Kilmer remained creatively active, turning to painting and launching Kamp Kilmer, a collaborative art project. He also used AI technology to recreate his voice, though his real voice was used in Top Gun: Maverick (2022), his final film appearance.

His last social media posts reflected his artistic soul, featuring his paintings and a playful Batman tribute. Tributes poured in from fans and fellow actors, remembering him as a bold, creative force.
